Added 2-10-03 Uniquely Giftedhttp://www.uniquelygifted.org/ This site is named after the book Uniquely Gifted: Identifying and Meeting the Needs of the Twice-Exceptional Student. Gifted children with special needs such as AD/HD, learning disabilities, Asperger Syndrome, etc. have a hard time of it in our education system - because their giftedness can mask their special needs and their special needs hide their giftedness, they are often labeled as "lazy", "unmotivated", "not trying". Many people don't even realize that a child can be both gifted and learning disabled. The owner of this site is s special needs educational advisor.
Added 8/10/02 This is a GREAT book by an ADD father (who is a family practitioner - doctor) You will read about his trials and tribulations to help his ADD/ADHD son. Informative, humorous, helpful, enlightening. It's an "easy" read. I literally read it in one day because I couldn't put it down. Dr. Bruce Roseman developed ways to assist his son even when the school "experts" were seemingly against him.

Added 11/20/01 Written by Martin L Kutscher, MD Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology, New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York. Pediatric Neurological Associates, White Plains, New York Dr. Kutscher states "I want to explain behavioral approaches for home and school, and the role of medications......... I scoured through the top books, condensed the best insights of brilliant thinkers, added some of my own, and wrote this text. The idea was to be brief but not "dumbed down." Realistic, yet optimistic.'
Check out their training manual Creative Coaching -- A Support Group for Children with ADHD. This is a GREAT resource for running a support group for kids with ADD ADHD. I've used it and highly recommend it! -- BJ
